Rush and Ann Althouse think Chris Christie is going to run as a Democract in 2016. All the stuff about Christie not being able to win the GOP nomination is wrong. McCain had a similar reputation as a traitor to Conservativism, and Romney was highly suspect because of Romneycare and his flipflops on abortion and other issues. Yet both won the nomination. No way Democrats would nominate him. I don't think you can be a governor of one party and then run for president in the other party. The last person to try it was John Connally who flopped in the GOP primaries of 1980.
