Mogadishu

I wish the Ethiopians well in their invasion of Somalia. According to reports they have captured the city of Mogadishu and the Islamists have fled. I can't help but worry that a similar situation to Iraq will develop in Somalia: a quick military victory followed by civil unrest and an unrelenting campaign of terrorism. Islamism is a virus that has to be rooted out but the total lack of decency and humanity on the part of the Islamic extremists make it very difficult. I hope the kind of brutal terror that goes on in Baghdad is not repeated in Mogadishu.
