Run Rudy Run!

I'm excited that Rudy Giuliani seems to be running for president. He's the one guy who has proven executive experience. Being a Republican mayor in New York City has got to be one of the most difficult jobs in American politics. He was willing to stand up against many liberal sacred cows. He was constantly attacked as a fascist and a racist. I want our next president to have the toughness and thick skin that Rudy exhibited. Although the left attacks President Bush as a fascist, his real weakness is a mushiness that causes him to adopt many leftwing ideas. His slogan in his presidential campaign - compassionate conservativism - showed a troubling tendency toward big government that was later confirmed by his statement that when people are hurting government has to act. No wonder the federal budget has exploded in his administration. Rudy at his best was mean and tough and not afraid of being seen as heartless. That's the kind of president I want.
