Hilary and Libya in the NYT

The day after Hilary's big win in South Carolina's, the New York Times leads with a story about her disastrous advice in Libya. The key quote: "The president was wary. The secretary of state was persuasive. But the ouster of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi left Libya a failed state and a terrorist haven." This is a clear example of Clinton's poor judgment and incompetent performance. She claims she is a progressive who gets things done but usually what she gets done are fiascos and failures.

Colbert King on Hilary's Email

I was quite surprised to read Colbert King's column on Hilary Clinton's e-mail scandal. The content of the article isn't that original but that fact that a liberal like King wrote it in the Washington Post is quite astonishing.

State Department confirms that Hillary is a Liar

The Washington Post reports that according to the State Department, the request for Hilary's emails "was prompted entirely by the discovery that Clinton had exclusively used a private e-mail system. Hillary keeps saying that her use of a private server was "allowed" and "above board". If the State Department "allowed" her to use her own server, why did they have to "discover" its existence?

Hillary's Campaign

It's been fun watch all of the negative press surrounding Hilary, her e-mail server and her sagging poll numbers, but it's still a strong possibility she could be elected. There doesn't seem to be a serious Democratic alternative - Joe Biden and Bernie Saunders are in their 70s and it is hard to imagine them beating her. Who knows what will happen on the Republican side. Everything about Hilary Clinton's career suggests she would be a disaster as president. The one substantive thing she did as first lady was a fiasco and her management of the state department was also pathetic. So, I'm still pessimistic about the future.

Scott Walker's Education

Glenn Reynolds highlights one of the best things about Scott Walker: his lack of a college degree. I would love to see a President without one of those super expensive pieces of paper from an Ivy League "school". It's ridiculous to think that the absence of a degree means someone can't be a great leader. In the tech world, obviously, we have a lot of examples of people who made the right decision to leave college and concentrate on their businesses: billionaires like Gates, Jobs and Zuckerberg. One of the more ridiculous statements about Walker's lack of degree was made by Howard dean who called him "unknowledgeable." In face, Walker spent three years in college. The lack of a final year and the "official" diploma says nothing about his knowledge or intelligence. Obviously people who leave college early to embark on successful careers are often smarter than the suckers who stay for four or more years and end up unemployed or underemployed with thousands of dollars in student loan debt.

Obama, Islam and Christianity

President Obama recently said we shouldn't get on our high horse and condemn Islam for violence because of things like the Crusades, the Inquisition and other evils that Christians supposedly commited in the name of their religion. Many critics have reacted harshly to his interpretation of history. But, even accepting, arguendo, his premise, the most obvious conclusion is that Islam is a primitive and savage religion that is centuries behind Christianity. Why hasn't it "evolved" over the past centuries? That's the obvious question that is raised by the President's comments.

Hilary As First Lady

The New York Times notices that Hilary was not always a brilliant first lady. Her political clumsiness led to the Clinton healthcare debacle. Although there is still a lot of praise for her in the article, it's clear she didn't know how to deal with congress and get a complicated piece of legislature passed. Is there anything in her time as a senator or secretary of state that inspires confidence that she can do better.
