Go Get Em
I fully support any federal effort to rein in the credit card industry. While generally I don't like government intervention in the free market, the credit card industry has been an incredibly destructive force in America. Traditionally, we have had usury laws. I don't see anything wrong with a federal law limiting interest rates or at least changes in interest rates on cards that are marked in interstate commerce. When the government intervenes, it should do so in order to promote virtue. Too often, Obama has promoted more reckless debt. We would be better off with fewer credit cards and less debt. The credit card companies are constantly using tricks to rack up more fees in order to cover their losses resulting from their reckless lending.
